Mickey...

Damn it mouse! Get caught!!!!

Grrr... what I would like to leave on a nice little note, to the creeper mouse who has been sharing my living space, and helping himself to the puppy food/puppy treats/my shirt, and creeping around avoiding the damn traps for the last month.... Get caught, damn it!

Confession...

So... when I'm bored, and on the internet... and have exhausted all other known/interesting web-sites I go to ebay, type in "wedding dress" and then list them from the highest to the lowest, just to see what the most expensive gowns look like.

We all have our different nerd-doms.

"Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

25 Things About me:

1. I own between 35-40 pairs of shoes and I would say that I wear 70% of them with some sort of regularity.
2. I have traveled to 11 different countries [Mexico, Germany, Sicily, Italy, England, Wales, Scotland, France, Ireland, Spain, Egypt]
3. I am a photographer.
4. It takes me a very long time to hang things on the wall when I move somewhere new.
5. I can juggle.
6. I moved to Indianapolis on a whim, but it turned out to be a pretty damn good move.
7. I love playing scrabble, and even though I am not good at spelling, it’s very possible I will kick your ass if we play :].
8. I am a photoshop guru…. No, not a photoshop nerd [shakes head]… definitely a guru.
9. I am a middle child. Older sister, younger brother. I apparently had middle child syndrome before I had even started school [which is why I went to preschool and neither my sister or brother did].
10. My brother and I used to catch lizards together when we were younger. We also set traps for leprechauns on St. Patrick’s Day.
11. My sister and I shared a room until she was in High School. It was bright Barbie doll pink.
12. They say I look like my mother, who has always been fabulous looking, so I’m okay with that.
13. My dad once took me hunting with him when I was 14. I wasn’t actually hunting, instead he set me up in the tree with the camera; by the time he was done he came back for me and I was bored and whistling. He’s continued to make fun of me for that ever since.
14. When we lived in New Mexico, my favorite time of the day was when grandma came by to eat a cookie and have a cup of coffee before we went to school and she went to work.
15. I took belly dancing class this last fall [smile].
16. My favorite time of the year growing up was any of the holidays. Because our house was the best suited for large gatherings, we would have all of our family and friends over at our house. The kitchen was always full of the women cooking and talking, the dining room was full of the guys talking politics, and there were always a ton of kids running around inside and outside.
17. When I went to check in for college graduation, they handed me honors cords and I made them double check that they had given me the right pack. They had, and I proudly wore my surprise honors cords the entire rest of the day.
18. The very first thing I remember wanting to be when I grew up was an artist and a violinist. My mother told me that I might want to consider a back up plan because neither of those careers yielded much money. I then decided that I was going to be a lawyer. After a few months, however, we had to do a school project on what we wanted to be when we grew up, and I decided that art was still way cooler than law, and was able to interview one of the artists for Disney. It was so freakin sweet.
19. I played the violin for something like 8 years. I also played the cello for one year, and the piano for 3. I also played in the hand bell choir at church for probably 9 years. Whitney says this is a nerd thing to do… I disagree and think it was cool [smile]. I am currently taking my time to learn how to play the guitar.
20. I don’t ever remember being bored when we lived in New Mexico. My mother said, “boredom is a lack of thought”. She’s a very smart lady.
21. I was family schooled for one year, where we were home schooled all the boring classes, and then went to school with a bunch of kids in different grades to do the fun stuff like art, theatre, singing, etc. Mrs. Schultie’s class… that was awesome.
22. My favorite animal is a pig. Since I couldn’t have pet pigs growing up, I had guinea pigs. My first one was named Crystal, and when she died, I somehow convinced my mother to purchase this guinea pig we’d found in the paper named Catawba [meaning melon, because she was the freakin size of a melon]. She kept getting fatter and fatter, and one morning I woke up to find two babies in the cage with her. We called one Lucky [boy], and the other Lucy [the girl].
23. I like having my picture taken.
24. I live with three guys, and a boy dog, and a boy cat.
25. My favorite day of the week is Thursday.
